昨日の夕方、映画「La La Land」を観てきました。久しぶりに観る映画館で観る映画でした。テーマ曲とエンディングが良かったです。
We went to see “La La Land” yesterday. It’s been a long time since we’d been to a cinema. I liked the theme music and the ending of the film.
ちなみに、今、日本では映画館はどんな感じになっているのでしょう？少し検索して調べてみましたら、日本でも席の予約が出来て電動リクライニングのシートもあるようですよね。香港やシンガポールと同じような感じなのでしょうか？日本から香港に行ったとき、香港では席が予約できたのがとても嬉しかったのを覚えています。当時日本では席の予約は出来ませんでした。２０年近くも前の話です。
I wonder if cinemas outside Singapore and Hong Kong (that we know of) are typical in the rest of the world. I remember when we first started living in Hong Kong (almost 20 years ago…), we were very pleasantly surprised that you can book seats in cinemas as it was not done in Japan at all and we used to have to queue up to get good seats.
香港でもシンガポールでも映画館の中にはいくつかのお部屋に別れていますが、小さめのお部屋が多いように思います。特別室のようなお部屋の場合は特に小さなお部屋で、昨日行った映画館の場合８席が４列、全部で３２席。席と席の間がかなり離れていて、前後にもとても余裕があります。シートは座り心地の良い電動リクライニングで、シート２つが１組でその間にテーブルがあり、食事や飲み物をオーダーして持ってきてもらいいただきながら観ることが出来るようになっています。冷房が効き過ぎているので、暖かい毛布も用意されています。映画や映画館によってそういうお部屋はあったりなかったりですが、昨日はそういうお部屋で観てきました。専用のラウンジもあって早く着いてもソファーでゆっくり待てますし、リクライニングの椅子で寛いで観ることが出来るので、チョイスがあるときはいつも特別室のチケットを買っています。
Both in Singapore and Hong Kong, there are a few small cinemas in a theatre each cinema these days seem very small. There are some special rooms that are even smaller than the usual ones, which have lovely comfortable electric reclining seats. A pair of seats are located close to each other with a small table in between and there is plenty of space between each pairs both on your sides and front and back. You can order meals and drinks (including wine, beer etc) and you are provided with a lovely warm blanket because it’s air-conditioned very strongly. Whenever possible, we try to get tickets for those cinemas as they are so comfortable.
映画の前には、ディンタイフォンでさくっと早めの夕食をとりました。写真を撮りませんでしたが、お気に入りのお野菜の前菜（酢の物のような感じ）、小さな豚饅、スパイシーソースの麺。お野菜の前菜も大好きですが、スパイシーソースの麺も大好きです。スパイシーソース、何が入っているんでhそう。ラー油、お砂糖、醤油、チリ、四川山椒。。。かな？ランチが遅かったのとお茶の時間にケーキも食べたので、それでお腹いっぱいになりました。今日も外でランチだったのですが、どこに行こうかと相談したとき、「今日は１日２回も麺類だったから、明日は麺類以外にしよう。」と言われました（笑）。わたしは続いても全然平気ですけどね。
Before going to the cinema, we had a quick early dinner at Din Tai Fong. We didn’t take any photos but we had a small vegetarian salad each and shared a set of small steamed pork dumplings and noodles with spicy sauce. I particularly love the vegetarian salad and noodles with spicy sauce. I wonder what is in the sauce for the noodles, it tastes both sweet and spicy. I’m guessing chilli oil, sugar, soy sauce, chilli pepper, Szechuan pepper but maybe some other spices are used, too.
Last night I asked my husband what he wanted to have for lunch today and his reply was “Not noodles, we had noodles twice today.”
さて、今日は午前中に夫と一緒に美容院行きました。同じ美容師さんに担当していただいていて、いつもは別々に予約を入れるのですが、今回は丁度わたしが予約を入れるときに夫も入れようとしていたので一緒にしていただいて、終わった後近くでランチをすることに。つい最近新しい場所に移られたのですが、近くにいくつか評判の良いレストランがあり、今日は以前から気になっていた Lokal というカフェに行ってみました。
So, today, we went to our hair salon together. We have the same hair dresser and usually go separately but we asked him if he can cut my husband’s hair after he apply the colouring paste on my hair and wait for it to do its work today so we can to lunch together after that. Our hair salon recently moved to a new location and there are a few well-known restaurants/cafe nearby. Today we tried “Lokal” that I’ve been wanting to try.
Niel Road と Bukit Pasoh Road が交わる角に入り口があります。ショップハウスなので長細い造り。内装は、カジュアルでカラフルで素敵でした。いかにも、今風のカフェという感じ。

夫は３０分ほど先に終わったので先に行っていて、わたしが着いたときは丁度グラノーラを食べ終えたところでした。
わたしは、青りんごのジュース、パンプキンサラダ（キヌアやドライクランベリーやインゲンなどが入っていました）、人参、ズッキーニ、松の実のマフィンをオーダー。
青りんごのジュースは、結構大きなグラスにたっぷり。
夫は、カプチーノ。

かぼちゃのサラダにトッピングの中からアボカドを選んで足してもらったのですが、アボカドはつぶしてありました。サラダにはつぶさずねっとり感が楽しめる集めのスライスや大きめの角切りの方が好み。キヌアはかなり固ゆでで甘いドレッシングと和えてありました。甘みが強いせいか、かぼちゃがたっぷりだったからか、半分くらいでお腹いっぱいになってしまいました。
I ordered extra topping of avocado for the pumpkin salad. Avocado was mashed, which was a shame, I prefer slices or chunks in a salad like this. Quinoa wasn’t mushy, which was good. The salad dressing was quite sweet and pumpkin was also sweet. It tasted very nice but somehow filled me up quickly and I ended up leaving about a half of it.
人参、ズッキーニ、松の実のマフィン。塩味系かと思ったら少しお砂糖が入っていたらしく少し甘いマフィンでしたが、美味しかったです。
Today’s muffin – carrot, zucchini & pine nuts. I was expecting it to be savory but it was slightly sweet.
夫は、ミューズリーの後、フレンチトーストをオーダーしていました。
My husband had French Toast after museli.
２人で８０ドルちょっと。軽いランチには高く感じますが、色々オーダーしましたからね。どれも量はたっぷりで味も良かったです。もう少し少なめでお安くなる方が嬉しい気はしますが、１人４０ドルほどなら悪くはないですよね。また行ってみたいと思えるカフェでした。
It was about S$80. It seems quite expensive but we did order a few items each and the portions are very generous so I think it’s not so bad. I’m sure we’ll return.
