Chicken Curry

今日の夕食は、チキンカレー。ココナッツミルクベースで、タマリンドも入った(多分)インド風。ご飯はバズマティ米。

Today’s dinner was Chicken curry – coconut base.  As we are into February, Dry January is finished and we can drink again!

昨日から3月なので、お酒も解禁!

今日はインド料理なので、お米もインドのバズマティ米。スパイスを入れて炊いたもの。

ちなみに、我が家にはお米が何種類もあります。普通の日本の白米、日本の玄米、バズマティ米、ジャスミンライス、黒糯米。お醤油も日本のお醤油、中国のお醤油、タイのお醤油、韓国のお醤油。お酢も米酢、赤ワインビネガー、白ワインビネガー、バスサミコ酢も熟成したものと新しいもの、ホワイトバルサミコ酢、ラズベリービネガーやマンゴービネガー、中国の黒酢、他にもあったような。。。通りでキッチンの収納が大変なわけです。

Rice is Basmati rice today cooked with spices.

We have so many different kinds of rice at home.  Japanese white rice, Japanese brown rice, Basmati rice, Jasmin rice, black sticky rice….  We have several different bottles of soy sauce like Japanese soy sauce, Chinese sweet soy sauce, Thai fish sauce, Korean soy sauce….  Same goes with vinegar – Japanese rice vinegar, red wine vinegar, white wine vinegar, balsamic vinegar (both young and old) white balsamic vinegar, fruits vinegar like raspberry vinegar, mango vinegar, Chinese black vinegar, sherry vinegar, apple vinegar….maybe more….  No wonder why we don’t have enough room in the kitchen.
