Chicken & Vegetable Curry

昨日の夕食は、前日残ったモロッコ風チキンを加えたカレーでした。いつものように区民シードを炒めて、玉ねぎを加えて炒めてニンニクと生姜を加えて炒めて、スパイスを加えて炒めて、トマト缶を加えて炒めて、お水、スープストック、にんじんとポテトを入れて柔らかくなったらカレールーを少なめに入れてチキンを加えて少し煮て出来上がり。チキンに既に結構スパイスがついていたことを忘れていてしっかりスパイスを加えたら、結構辛くなりました。

Yesterday’s dinner was curry with left-over Moroccan chicken and vegetables.  As always, I sauteed cumin seeds first, added onion and sautéed, added garlic and ginger and sauteed, added spices and sautéed, then added tin tomato and sauteed some more  Then added water, soup stock powder, carrot, potato and cooked until vegetables were soft, added curry roux (less than usual), added left-over chicken and cooked a little longer than done.  I forgot that the chicken was already spicy and added usual amount of spices so it was quite spicy.
