ホリデーの最終日（翌日はオックスフォードから家に向かっただけ）は、オックスフォードに宿泊しました。ヨークから家まで１日で走ると結構長いドライブになるので、（我が家は夫しか運転できないので疲れたら変われるというバックアップがないため、大体１日４、５時間の距離にしています）途中どこかで宿泊しようということになり、来月結婚する甥っ子とフィアンセが住んでいるオックスフォードに泊まることにしました。

On the last day of our holiday (on the following day we drove from Oxford to home), we stayed in Oxford.  Driving from York to home would have been quite a long drive and as I cannot drive my husband has no back-up so we tend to keep the driving time between 4 and 5 hours a day.  So we needed to stay somewhere and decided to stay at Oxford so we can see our nephew and his fiancee, who are getting married next month.

ホテルのお部屋の準備がまだだったので、荷物を置いて街歩きをしました。歴史を感じる、素敵な街です。

When we arrived at the hotel, our room wasn’t ready so we left our luggage at the hotel and walked around Oxford a little.  It’s a very nice city with a long history.

オックスフォードでは、このオールドバンクホテルに宿泊しました。室内の写真を撮り忘れましたが、小さいけれど新しくデコレーションされた、すっきりとした居心地の良いお部屋でした。

We stayed in the Old Bank Hotel.  I forgot to take a photo of the room, but it was small but comfortable, simply decorated, it looked like it had been converted to a hotel relatively recently.

お部屋からの眺め、街中にあるので便利で良かったです。
