今日の遅めの午後からまた雨が降る予報なので、お天気が良いうちにちょっと歩こうということになり、アランデルのティールーム「Cockburn’s Tea Room」で軽くランチをして、お城のそばを歩きました。アランデルは昨日書いたように、今イギリスで公開されている Wicked Little Letters の撮影が行われた小さな街なのですが、その影響なのかどうか、冬なのに大勢の人で賑わっていました。土曜日ですしお天気も割と良かったのでそのせいかもしれませんが、あれほどの人は余り見ない気がします。（観光地なので夏は賑わいますが。）
It was nice and sunny this morning but is expected to rain from late afternoon and is not expected to be good weather for the next few days , so we thought we’d have a walk before the weather changes and went into Arundel. First we had lunch at “Cockburn’s Tea Room“, which was just full when we went in but by the time we came out there was a queue. The town of Arundel was also very busy for winter. Is it to do with the film “Wicked Little Letters” was filmed here and the film is now on? I don’t think we’ve seen it so busy in winter before but maybe it’s just because it’s a Saturday and the weather was nice.
夫は、ブリーとベーコンのトーストサンド、わたしはコロネーションチキンサンド。どちらもポテトサラダなどのサラダ付き。お野菜もパンもフレッシュで味付けも良く、とても美味しかったです。このティールームの存在をついつい忘れてしまうのですが、アフタヌーンティーも割と美味しかったですしサンドイッチも美味しいので、もっと頻繁に行こうと思います。
My husband had Brie & Bacon Toasted Sandwich and I had Coronation Chicken Sandwich, both came with a salad and potato salad. The salad was very fresh and the sandwiches were very good, too. We forget about this tearoom but their afternoon tea was nice and sandwiches are also very good, so we should go there more often.
