今日は、お友達ご夫婦にお茶に呼んでいただいたので、伺って来ました。香港時代からのお友達ですがクルーズが大好きなご夫婦で、去年は５回もクルーズ旅行に行かれました。こおの１５年くらい毎年クルーズ旅行されているので色々とご存じで、わたしたちには多分バイキングが良いと思うとアドバイスいただき、他のクルーズも調べてはみましたが最終的にバイキングクルーズに決めたのはお２人の影響が大きいです。そんな風に人にアドバイスをするとやはり「もし気に入らなかったら」という気持ちも出るのが人間で、わたしたちがすごく楽しんで来たことをお伝えするととても嬉しそうでした。

Our friends invited us to tea today, so we visited their house.  We’ve known them since our Hong Kong days and they love cruise holidays – they had 5 cruise holidays last year!  We had a lot of advice from them when planning our recent (first) cruise, including that they thought we’d like Viking.  I did research a few cruise lines but in the end we chose Viking cruise mainly because of their advice.  When you give advice like that to your friends, you cannot help worrying if your friends would really like it so they were very happy to hear that we really enjoyed the Viking cruise we took.

甘くない系のつまむものとビスケットなどを用意してくださいました。お茶をいただきながら、わたしたちのクルーズのこと、お２人の６月のアラスカのクルーズのことなど色々話しているとあっという間に３時間！とても楽しかったです。

They prepared some savory nibbles as well as biscuits and tea, we talked for 3 hours non-stop about our holiday, the holiday they are taking in June in Alaska.  It was great to catch up with them.
