Short Pasta With Ragu

日本はすっかり夏日のようですね。こちらは昨日は良いお天気でしたが、今日はグレーな1日でした。気温もこのところ低めで、日本の3月初旬ごろの感じ、お天気が良い日でもお庭に座るのには寒い気候です。

I read that the temperature in Japan has gone as high as 27C already, but here it’s gone back to cool temperature, maybe like early March weather in Japan.  It was good weather yesterday but was still quite chilly, too cold to sit in the garden and it was grey all day today, hopefully it’ll get better this coming week.

今日の夕食は、少し前に冷凍していたラグー(ミートソース)を使ってパスタとサラダ。新たにニンニクを炒めて解凍したラグーを加え、唐辛子少しとバジルを加えました。余って冷凍していたものはそのまま出すことは少なくて、何かしら新たに手を加えてしまいます。美味しく出来ました。

Today’s dinner was pasta with a ragu that we cooked and froze a little while ago, served with a small salad.  I sautéed garlic, added the defrosted ragu, added some chilli flakes and basil.  Somehow I don’t often serve something from a freezer as it is, I tend to add something or other.  It was very tasty.
