今日はとっても久しぶりのお花のレッスンでした。花材が多い上に枝が太い実物も含まれていたので片手で持てないくらいの大きさで、重くて大変でしたがなんとか。とっても大きな花束に仕上がりました。ちなみにシャンペトルというのはフランスの野の花を束ねたようなカントリースタイルのことだそうで、自然な感じの花束のようです。豪快に！と先生はおっしゃっていました。葉物の勢いが良いので真ん中あたりに飛び出ているのが気になりましたが、先生は「その自然な感じが好き」とおっしゃっていました。毎回思いますが、花束は慣れなので本当は自分でお花を買って練習するのが上達の道なのですが、なかなかね。

I took a flower lesson this morning, it’s been a long time since I last did this.  This style is called Champetre – French Conntry Style.  There were many flowers/foliage stems, it was quite hard to hold in one hand, but I managed somehow.  I thought the leaves in the middle of the bouquet seemed too much but the instructor said she likes them that way because they made it look natural.  The best way to get good at making a bouquet is to buy flowers and practice often but it’s not so easy here to make time to do so.
