Pasta With Onion, Pepper & Tomato

連休最後の今日の夕食は考え付かないまま今日になり、冷蔵庫にあるもので夫と一緒にパスタソースを作ることになったのですが、わたしは3週間いなかったので冷蔵庫の中にあるものと言っても大したものはなく、結局、玉ねぎ、にんにく、赤と黄色のパプリカをじっくり炒めたところに缶詰のトマトを入れて、バジルを入れて、最後にプチトマトを加えるというシンプルパスタになりました。じっくり炒めた玉ねぎとパプリカが甘くなり、美味しく出来ました。

Today is the last day of the long weekend. We hadn’t planned dinner for today so decided to cook some pasta sauce with what ever we could find in the fridge but there wasn’t much there as I’d been away. We just made a very simple sauce – sauteed onion, garlic and red & yellow pepper slowly, then added a tin of tomato, plus basil and then some small tomatoes at the end. The onion &pepper made it sweet, it was simple but good.
