冬の間はずっと雨が多く、雑草もあまりありませんしお花も咲いていないので、お庭を歩くことはほとんどないのですが、先日「そろそろスノードロップが咲く頃かも。」と出てみたら、咲いていました！真っ白で可憐！今年も、スノードロップがたくさん咲くところに見に行きたいと思っています。

As it rains so much, we don’t see a lot of weeds and we don’t have any flowers in winter, so we seldom walk in the garden but I thought just a few days ago, “I wonder if snowdrops have started to come out…” and had a look and found some already in flower!  They are so white and so sweet.  I hope we can go and see carpets of snowdrops next month.

まだまだ咲き始めたところで、これくらいしか顔を出していません。スノードロップはなかなか育たないらしくて、結構な数の球根を植えたのに去年もあまり咲きませんでした。少し買い足して植えましたが、今年は去年よりは増えていると良いのですが。

They have just started to flower, these are all I found.  I hear snowdrops are very hard to grow and we didn’t see many last year even though we had planted many bulbs.  We added some extra last year, so hopefully we’ll see more this year.

水仙は随分前から、あちらにもこちらにもたくさん芽を出していて、フロントガーデンでもたくさん見られます。蕾がつくのはまだまだ先ですが。

We started seeing a lot of narcissuses shoots all over the garden including the front garden but it’ll be a while before we see the buds.
