今日は、チチェスターの Brasserie Blanc でランチをしました。一時期時々行っていましたが、メニューがあまり変わらないのでちょっと飽きて久しぶりでした。

We had lunch at Brasserie Blanc in Chichester today.  We used to go there now and again but their menu hardly changes so we got a little tired of it so we hadn’t been there for quite a while.

夫の前菜は、エスカルゴ。

My husband had Escargot for his starter.

わたしは、グリーンアスパラガスにポーチドエッグ。ここにサバイヨンがかかるのですが、ソースなしでお願いしました。ちょっとアスパラガスが茹ですぎ気味でしたが、普通に美味しくいただきました。

I had green asparagus with a poached egg.  It was going to come with sabayon but I asked them not to add it.  The asparagus was a little overcooked (for me anyway) but it was fine.

メインは２人とも、ビーフ・ブルギニヨン、サイドディッシュにいんげんの塩茹でをシェアー。

For the main we both had Beef Bourguignon with a side dish of green beans to share.

 

デザートに、ピスタチオのスフレをシェアー。

Then for the dessert we shared Pistachio Soufflé.

 

ガス入りのお水１本とグラスワインを１杯ずつ、お会計はや100ポンド（20000円）。

Including a bottle of sparkling water to share and a glass wine each, the bill was about £100.

それにしても、相変わらず円安ですね。長い間1ポンド160円くらいだったのに、今や200円。

Yen is still so cheap, a pound used to be about 160 yen for a long time but now it’s 200 yen.
