昨日も良いお天気でしたが、今日も午前中は曇っていましたがお昼頃から良い天気になったので、ちょっと出かけることにしました。ちょっとぶらっと歩きたい程度だったので、アンバリーという村に行ってお茶をしようということに。前回アンバリーの村まで歩いてお茶をしようと思ったら定休日だったので、今日はお休みではないことをチェックしてから行きました。

Following the lovely weather yesterday it was nice and sunny this afternoon so we decided to drive to Amberley, have tea and cake in the little tea room there and walk a little.  The last time when we were in Amberley village the tea room was closed do we did make sure it was open today.

いつもは、まず歩いてからお茶をするのですが、今日は最初にお茶とケーキをいただきました。ケーキは、キャロットケーキをシェアー。胡桃がたっぷり入っていてパサついていず、美味しかったです。比較的暖かかったので、お庭でいただきました。

We normally walk first, then have tea and cake as a reward but today we had tea and cake first. We shared a piece of carrot cake, which had a lot of walnuts and was moist and tasty.  It was warm enough to sit in the garden.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

お茶の後、村の中を通って、以前、他のところからアンバリーの村まで歩いたときの田舎道を少しだけ往復しました。アンバリーの村にはたくさん古い素敵な家があって、大好きです。藁葺き屋根の動物の飾りも可愛い。

After tea, we walked through the village and walked along the footpath to where it crosses the railway tracks then back, so not a long walk.  There are so many lovely old houses in Amberley, I like the place very much.  The animal-shape decorations on the thatched roofs are so cute, too.
