今日のランチは、ローマに来てすぐに沢山作って冷凍しておいたスモーキートマトスープ。これで、全部食べてしまいました。
Today’s lunch was Smoky Tomato Soup that I cooked and froze soon after we arrived in Rome. This was the last pack.
今日も暑くなりました。最初の10日ほどは真冬の寒さでもう少し後に来れば良かったかなと思いましたが、ちょうど良かったのはその後数日であっという間に(イギリスの、ですが)夏のようになり、やっぱり早めに来て良かったです。今より暑いと外を歩くのが辛くなります。
It was quite warm again today. When we arrived in Rome at the start of this trip it was so cold and wintery for about 10 days. Then it became comfortable but very soon it got as hot – or hotter – than summer is in England. At first I had been wondering if we should have come a little later but now I am glad we did come when we did because I would find it too hot to go out if it gets any hotter.
今日はジムに行って、アパートメントに掃除機をかけて、お買い物、という1日でした。ホテル暮らしとは違って家事にも結構時間を取られますし、ジムにも週に3回行っているので、ホリデーとは言えないかな。ローマで暮らしている感じですね。それもあと数日になりました。
We went to the gym after lunch, did some hoovering and also a bit of shopping. As we aren’t staying at a hotel quite a lot of time is taken up by housework, and we go to the gym 3 times a week so it doesn’t feel like we are on holiday, but it’s more like living here, which was what we planned to do. Now, we only have a few more days left.
