今日はお友達がお２人カードを作りに来られました。それぞれはお知り合いではないのですが、お話ししているとやはり共通のお友達が何人かおられました。シンガポールの日本人社会は本当に怖いくらい狭いです。いい面もあり、悪い面もあり。

Two friends came to make cards today.  They had never met before but we found out after talking a little that there are a few mutual friends .  This is often the case in Singapore, you almost always find some mutual friends when you meet someone for the first time.  It can be a benefit, but you can feel a little claustrophobic.

さて、どちらも４枚作られました。お１人が作られたカードは、背景全体をヒートエンボスしたカード。見本にされたのは、たまたま今日いらしたお２人の共通のお友達のお１人が本帰国される前に作ってくださったカードでした。

They both made 4 cards.  One of them made these cards.  The original card was the one one of their mutual friends gave me when she left for Japan for good – it wasn’t chosen for that reason at all, it just happened that she chose the particular card as an inspiration.
