Soup & Salad

長い間普通の時間に眠れず困っていますが、この数週間特に酷く、コンピューターとiPhoneのライトを夜は夜用になるよう設定してみましたが、今の所それほど効果がないような。。。でも、数日4時間睡眠が続いたので、昨日は久しぶりに12時間寝ました(笑)。

I’ve been having trouble with sleeping at night for many many years but recently it’s been specially bad.  We changed the setting for the displays of both my PC and iPhone so it changes the colours at night, which is supposed to help, but so far I haven’t found much difference.  I slept only about 4 hours a day for a couple of days, but last night, for the first time for a while, I slept 12 hours!  I do manage to sleep enough time most of the time, just not at the right time of the day in one go.

今日の夕食は、月曜日に多いスープとサラダ。

Today’s dinner was Soup & Salad – I tend to do this on Monday.s

スープは、簡単で美味しいブラックビーンズープ。クミンの香りでピリ辛です。

Soup is Black Bean Soup – easy and delicious.  Flavoured with cumin and a little spicy.

サラダは、夫が好きなゴートチーズとアボカドとビーツのサラダ。ゴートチーズは揚げずにとろっとするまで焼いただけのものにするときもありますが、夫はやはり揚げたほうが好きな様子。前回は焼いたので、今回は揚げました。スライスしたアーモンドを香ばしく乾煎りしたものをトッピングしています。ドレッシングは蜂蜜とざくろシロップを加えて、甘酸っぱく。

Salad was Goat Cheese, Avocado & Beet salad.  I sometimes just grill goat cheese but my husband seems to like it breaded and fried more.  Last time I grilled so this time I fried.  I add some toasted almond slices, which adds extra crunchy texture and nutty flavour.  Dressing is with honey and pomegranate molasses – sweet and sour.
