ウダイプールからジョドプールへ行く途中に、ラーナクプルにあるアーディナータ寺院に寄りました。１４３９年に建てられ、白大理石で作られたジャイナ教の寺院。その規模も彫刻の繊細さも素晴らしかったです。1444本ある柱は、１本として同じ彫刻のものはないそうです。今回巡った寺院の中でも、一番印象深い寺院でした。

On our way from Udaipur to Jodhpur, we visited Anidath Temple in Ranakpur.  It’s a Jain temple made of white marble in 1439.  It is spectacular both in size and the complexity of the carvings.   Just stunning.  Apparently there are 1444 decorated pillars and there is no two pillars the same.  This was the most impressive temple we visited on this trip.
