Mee Goreng


My husband told me he was going to be later than usual to come home and we didn’t know what time exactly, so I decided to cook Mee Goreng again. It’s quick to cook as long as I do all the chopping and mixing the sauce in advance, I guess it takes about 10 minutes if that.


I have been using the recipe I learned at a cooking class in Hong Kong but I tried a new recipe that I saw on Youtube for the sauce. Although the ratios and the components were quite different it did taste sort of similar to the recipe I’ve been using, the only thing was that it was much more liquidy so maybe the noodles became a little soggy. I wish we could find thicker Chinese egg noodles, which are better for this dish. The ones I’m using are too thin.
