Long Walk In Paris

My favourite way to spend time in Paris is to sit outside a cafe and do people watching, but it’s a bit too cold for that at the moment. We also don’t want to be in a big crowd of people so are avoiding museums, so we did a lot of walking today.

We walked to where we had lunch at the Place Victor Hugo, which I guess was 20-30 minutes from the hotel, then walked from there to the Eiffel Tower with a stop for cake and coffee/ tea at a cafe when it started to rain again on the way. Then we took a taxi back to the hotel. First time in a long time I walked more than 10,000 steps in a day!

Beautiful flowers at a flower shop near our hotel.

It started raining again just as we came to a crossing where you can see the Eiffel Tower, so we went into a cafe to have a cake and coffee/tea.

So many choices! We chose a raspberry and pistachio tart, very good.

It stopped raining so we continued the walk, I took so many photos of the Eiffel Tower.

We walked through a park (the Champ de Mars) to get to a street where we could catch a cab.
