We bought these tulips on the day we came back from Paris. We have been enjoying them for 10 days now but they started to look like being at the end of their lives.

I used to cut off most of the leaves, as I was taught at flower classes in Singapore, but one-by-one their stems break because of the weight of their flowers so I don’t do that now.

They last longer because the leaves support the stems but even then quite a few of them break or bend so much, so I cut those bent stems shorter and put them in a tall glass and enjoyed them on a shelf in the living room of the cottage. At first there were only 2 but others joined them one-by-one and I guess about 1/3 is now in the glass.
