今日は良いお天気になり、気温も２５度まで上がりました。

It was very sunny today and the temperature went up to 25C.

そろそろ食べてしまわないといけないソーセージが冷凍庫にあったので、今日の夕食は「ソーセージ、目玉焼き、チップス（イギリスでチップスはフライドポテトのことをいいますが、今日はオーブンで焼いたもの）」でした。朝食のようなメニューですが、昔から英国のパブの定番メニューになっています。わたしたちはあまり食べないメニュー。多分、イギリスでも「何もないし」と食べるメニューだと思います。卵とポテトは大抵常備していますし、ソーセージも冷凍庫に常備している人が多いので。

There were sausages that we should eat in the freezer, so today’s dinner was Sausage, Egg & Chips, which is a popular menu in pubs in the UK but we don’t often have.  It looks like a breakfast but I guess it’s something people have when they have nothing much at home – like we did today – because most people have eggs and potatoes and also some sausages in the freezer.
