今日は良いお天気で、一昨日ほどではないですが暖かかったので、夫は久しぶりに午後からお庭に座って本を読んでいました。それでも朝方は１１度まで下がります。イギリスの夏、やはり結構寒い日が多いです。

It was a nice day today, not as warm as the day before yesterday but it was warm enough for my husband to enjoy sitting in the garden under a parasol to read a book in the afternoon.  It’s going to go down to 11C, though, in the morning.  We knew this, it’s not a surprise, but it still sort of shock us in a way how cold can get in the middle of summer.

今日の夕食は、Hello Fresh の「Honey Mustard Sausages (with Sweet Potato mash and Sticky Red Onion Gravy)」（蜂蜜マスタードソーセージ、スイートポテトのマッシュと赤タマネギのグレービー）、でした。ソーセージとブロッコリーはオーブンで焼いて、スイートポテトと普通のポテトは茹でてマッシュ、グレービーは赤タマネギをじっくり炒めたところにバルサミコ酢を加えて煮詰めて赤ワインストックポットとポテトを茹でたお湯を加えてとろみが出るまで煮詰めたものでした。イギリスっぽい食事ですが Hello Fresh のソーセージは美味しいですし、スイートポテト入りのマッシュも美味しいです。

Today’s dinner was “Honey Mustard Sausages (with Sweet Potato mash and Sticky Red Onion Gravy)” from Hello Fresh.  Sausages and broccoli were cooked in the oven, mash was a mixture of sweet potato and ordinary potato and the gravy was made with slowly sauteed red onion, then balsamic vinegar, red wine stock pot and some of the water from the boiled cpotatoes.  I guess it’s one of standard English meals but the sausages from Hello Fresh are very tasty and the mash made with sweet potato and ordinary potato is also very nice.  We enjoyed it.
