Japanese Style Hamburg Steaks


Today’s dinner was Hamburg Steaks in a Japanese way.  I followed the recipe of the hamberg that I had from a zoom cooking class of Locomoco which I took sometime ago and we had it with demi glace sauce.  The Hamburg steaks were very tender, juicy and tasty.  I made the sauce with store-bought demi glace sauce that my sister sent to me from Japan because I cannot find anything similar here.   For the sauce, I put a little brandy in the pan I cooked the hamburg steaks in, let the alcohol evaporate, added a little water, the demi glace sauce, ketchup and Japanese Worcetershire Sauce, let it reduce for a little.  I prefer having this with rice when the sauce is demi glace sauce.  My husaband seemed to love them, too.
