コロナによるロックダウン以来、食料品や日用品はほとんどネットで購入していて、たまにスーパーに行く時は必要なものだけ買ってさっと出ていますが、先日、久しぶりにスーパーで少しゆっくり見てみました。そのとき、Carluccio’s というレストランのラザニア（冷蔵）が目に止まったので買ってみました。オーブンから出したときは良い香りがしていましたが、食べてみると「う〜ん。。。」。どういうわけか、少し塩辛かったのと、ラグー（ミートソース）の味がほとんどしませんでした。食べられない訳ではないけど、あまり美味しくはないよね〜、という感じでした。美味しかったら時々買ってみようと思っていたのに、残念。

Since the start of the first Covid lockdown we have been getting foods and things we need mostly from online supermarkets, and when we occasionally went into an actual supermarket when we needed one or two things, we just got what we needed and didn’t linger inside.  However, the other day while we were in Sainsbury’s we took a little more time than we have been doing to see if there are things we want to get and saw a ready-made Lasagne from Carluccio’s so we bought it and tried it today.  It was smelling good when it came out of the oven but …  we didn’t like it very much.  We don’t understand why but we weren’t able to taste much of the ragu and it was on the salty side – there was no real depth of flavour.  We were disapointed that we didn’t like it because it would have been nice to use something like this that we can enjoy instead of real cooking.
