毎日、夜、翌日のディナーを考えて必要な場合はお肉類を冷凍庫から冷蔵庫に移動するのですが、昨日は「思いつかな〜い、考えたくな〜い！」という気分だったので、今日は外食することに。アランデルのインド料理のお店にまだ行ったことがなかったので、行ってみました。狭目の店内と思いましたが、２階も（どれくらいの広さかはわかりませんが）あったので、そこそこの広さがあるようでしたが、土曜日なせいか随分混んでいました。

I think of a dinner for the following day every night and take some meat from the freezer and put it in the fridge when necessary, but last night I thought, “I cannot think of anything, I don’t want to think of anything!”, so we went out today.  We tried the Indian restaurant in Arundel for the first time.  First we thought it’s not very large but they also have a room upstairs so I guess it’s not so small.  It was very busy as you can see.

野菜のサモサ。スパイシーで油っこくもなく、美味しかったです。

Vegetable samosas, which were a little spicy, not greasy and very tasty.

手前がカリフラワーのバージ。奥がアルゴビ。塩分強めでスパイシーさは全くなかったです。辛いスパイスだけではなく余りスパイスの香りがせず物足りなく感じました、しかも似たようなものをオーダーしてしまったのはわたしたちの失敗。

The one closer is cauliflower Bhaji, the other is Aloo Gobi.  Both a bit on the salty side, not spicy at all.  Not just they weren’t hot spicy but didn’t taste much of spices at all.  Also it was our mistake to have ordered two dishes that were quite similar.

ビールの大瓶（日本でいう中瓶くらいのサイズ）１本と小瓶１本オーダーして、チップを入れて、６０ポンド（１万円弱）でした。サモサとナンがとても美味しかったですが、オーダーしたものが悪かったのかスパイスの香りが少なめの品ばかりだったので、次回はもっとスパイシーなものをオーダーしてみようと思います。そして、混んでいたので仕方ないのかとは思いますが、サービスがとてもとてもスローで待ち時間が長すぎました。撃沈ではなかったですが、すぐまた行きたいというレストランでもなかったです。やっぱり、田舎ではそんなレストランはまずないのかな、と思います。ロンドンの近くに住んでいれば、と思わずにはいられないのはこんな時。ま、他にたくさん良い面があるのでそれほど不満があるわけではないのですが。

We had 1 large bottle and 1 small bottle of beer and, including a tip, we paid £60.  Samosas and Naan were very good, but the others didn’t have much spices.  Next time we would like to try spicy items.  One big black mark is that their service was very very slow, it was very busy so I suppose that was expected but we felt fed up with waiting.  Although it wasn’t awful, we aren’t rushing back.  I guess there just aren’t the sort of restaurants we love in the countryside like here.  This is when I wish we lived nearer London.  There are a lot of great things living in the countryside, though.

クリスマスまで１ヶ月を切りましたね。少しずつ、クリスマス気分が出てきています。やはり、お出かけした方がそんな気分になれるような気がします。夫は早くから飾りつけるのを嫌うので、我が家はまだクリスマスの飾りは出していません、

It’s less than 1 months before Christmas and we are getting into the Christmas mood little by little.  I feel we can feel it more when we go out because of seeing the decorations.  My husband doesn’t like decorating the house too early so we have no Christmas decorations up at home yet.
