我が家からホテルまで渋滞がなければ1時間半なのですが、今日はお天気が悪かったので早めに出ましたが、2時間くらいかかりました。家を出た時はぽつりぽつりくらいの雨でしたが、途中から豪雨になり、前もあまり見えないくらい、そして道路のあちらこちらに大きな水溜りが出来て場所によっては浅い川を渡っているくらいで、そんな雨が1時間くらいは続いて結構大変でした。これほどの豪雨はイギリスではあまり降らないので、シンガポールを思い出させました。

From us, it was supposed to be about an hour and a half to the hotel but we left early because the weather wasn’t good. When we left home it was just spitting but soon it started to get very heavy, so heavy that we couldn’t see much in front of the car. There were many puddles everywhere, sometimes it was like crossing a river. I think it rained like that for about an hour and was very stressful. It reminded us of the rain we used to get in Singapore, it doesn’t rain this badly in England so often.
