やはり、太ももとお尻が筋肉痛で痛いです（笑）。

As I expected, my thighs and bottom are aching badly from yesterday’s work in the garden.

 

今日は午後にチチェスターの美容院に予約を入れていたので、夫と２人で「Brasserie Blanc」でランチをしました。

My husband and I had a pre-Christmas lunch at “Brasserie Blanc” in Chichester as I had an appointment at a hair salon in the afternoon.

 

 

夫の前菜は、エスカルゴ。

My husband had Escargot for his starter.

わたしは、バゲットと３種類のディップ。ここのバゲットは美味しい。左のサンドライトマトのディップも真ん中のガーリックマヨのディップもとても美味しいです。

I had Baguette with 3 dips.  Their baguette is very good and the sun dried tomato dip on the left and garlic mayonnaise dip in the middle are very tasty, too.

 

夫のメインは、ラム。

My husband had Lamb Roulade for the main.

 

わたしは、ソーセージとマッシュ。普通に美味しかったのですが、グレービーが塩辛くてマッシュポテトが塩辛くなってしまい、ほとんど食べられませんでした。ソーセージも当然塩辛いので、グレービーまでが塩辛いと食べられない。こういうことがあると、グレービーは別の器に添えて欲しいとお願いしようと思うのですが、すぐに忘れてしまいます。

I had Sausages & Mash.  Although they were fine, the gravy was very salty, which made it impossible to have much mashed potato.  Sausages are naturally salty so when the gravy is very salty too it makes all very salty.  Whenever this happens I think to myself “I must ask them to put the gravy in another dish separately.” but forget it quickly.

 

 

すっかりお腹いっぱいでしたが、ピスタチオのスフレをシェアー。

Although I was very full, we shared their Pistachio soufflé.

 

 

カラフで赤ワインもいただきました。ガス入りのお水１本を含め、85ポンド（15,380円）でした。

We had a carafe of red wine and a bottle of sparkling water and the bill was £85.

 

今日は寒かったですが（お天気は悪くなかったですし気温は１０度程度あったのですが、風が強くて寒かったです）クリスマスまで後２日なので、チチェスターの街は大勢の人がお買い物をして歩いてクリスマスらしい活気に溢れていました。

It was cold today (the weather was good and the temperature was around 10C, but it felt much colder because it was windy), but Chichester was very busy with a lot of people doing shopping, it felt quite Christmassy.
