昨日も書きましたが、月、火、水、とダイニングルームにエアコンを設置する作業が行われていて、今日、完成しました！今は寒くてエアコンが必要なほど暑い日が想像できませんが（笑）、これで今年の夏は過ごしやすくなります。暖房にも使えます。寒い時期はセントラルヒーティングが入ってはいますが、キッチン、ダイニング、リビングは朝一番とランチタイムくらいしか使わないので暖房を入れているのは短時間で、普段はそれで十分なのですが特別寒い時はランチの時間に寒いので、（セントラルヒーティングはオンにしてから暖かくなるまで少し時間がかかるので）短時間でさっと暖房に使うことも出来て便利だと思います。

As I wrote yesterday, the aircon people were here on Monday, Tuesday and today to install a new aircon unit on a wall in the dining room and the work has been completed!  I cannot imagine such hot days at the moment because we’re in the middle of winter, but I am glad to know that we won’t get uncomfortably hot this summer.  It can be used as a heater as well, so we could use it for a short time when it’s specially cold.  Although the central heating is on during winter, we don’t have it on for many hours in the kitchen, dining room and living room because we aren’t using them much until evening other than the first thing in the morning and the lunch time and that is fine usually but it does get very cold when we have a specially cold spell.  It takes a while to get the area warm after putting the central heating on so this can be useful for that reason as well.

それにしても、キッチンもダイニングルームも埃だらけ。昨日まではそうでもなかったのですが、今日はドリルを使って壁に穴をあけていたので、とにかく埃っぽかったです。ざっと掃除はしましたが、多分しばらくは埃がつもると思います。

The whole area was so dusty after the work.  Until today it hasn’t been bad but there was a lot of drilling going on today so all the surfaces were full of dust and the air was so dusty as well.  Being winter the work was done without the doors opened so that made it worse, I guess.  I did clean the area but I expect we’ll see everywhere with the dust for the next few days.
