週末、ケンブリッジからアンティークのお店に向かっている途中、太陽が出ているのに真上は雨、というお天気で、変なお天気ね〜、虹が出るお天気よね、と言っていたら、大きな大きな二重の虹がすぐ近くに出ていました。近すぎて一番上部分は見えなかったのですが、道の両側に半円を描いていました。写真ではそれほどでもないのですが、肉眼ではとてもはっきりした虹で１色ずつの幅も広くて７色がはっきりわかるようなはっきり、くっきりした虹でした。

Last weekend when we were driving from Cambridge to an antique shop, it was very sunny but started to rain right above us.  We were saying how strange the weather was and how it’s the sort of weather when we might find a rainbow – and we did!  There was a double rainbow very near us.  We were too close to be able to see the tops of them but they were perfect half circles from one side of the road we were driving to the other side.  The photos don’t show how beautiful they were and how clear they were, specially in one of them you could see very clearly the 7 colours and each colour band was quite wide.
