昨日の寄港地は、クロアチアのスプリットでした。スプリットにも数千年の長い歴史があり、城壁で張り巡らされた旧市街全体が世界遺産に登録されています。わたしたちは、午前中は、無料の2時間程度のウォーキングツアーに参加しました。四角い形をしたかつてのローマ皇帝の宮殿の跡地である旧市街をゆっくりと歩いて回るツアーです。大きな街ではないので2時間ほどで大きな名所は大体訪れることが出来ます。無料のツアーにいくつか参加しましたが、大体の名所を訪れることが出来るように構成されていて、どれも良かったです。
Yesterday, we docked at Split in Croatia. Like Dubrovnik, Split has thousands of years of history and the old town, which is surrounded by Roman walls, is recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. We joined the free walking tour, which took about 2 hours walking around the old town slowly, in the morning. The old town is very square because it was a Roman Palace. It’s not such a large town so you can visit the major tourist places in about 2 hours. We joined a few free tours on this cruise and we found them to be very good, they do take you to the most of the main tourist spots in each town.
スプリットも素晴らしい遺跡に溢れていて魅力的な街でしたが、個人的にはドゥブロブニックの方が歩いていて楽しく感じたような気がします。
Split was also full of amazing historic buildings and very charming, but I personally prefered Dubrovnik for walking around for some reason.
