今日はお天気は晴れたり曇ったりで風がとても強いのでそれほどお散歩日和でもないのですが、しばらくどこにも歩きに出かけていなかったので、West Dean Gardens に歩きに行きました。イギリスは、今日はバンク・ホリデーで土曜日から３連休になっているので場所によっては人が多いと思うのですが、West Dean Gardens は広いのでこういう日でもそれほど混むということはないですし、わたしたちは年間パスを購入しているので無料なので便利です。

The weather is just OK today, sometimes very cloudy but sometimes sunny with quite a strong wind, but we hadn’t gone out for a walk for a while so we went to West Dean Gardens.  This is a bank holiday weekend here so some places are probably quite busy but West Dean Gardens are so large that you don’t notice people so much.  We also have a membership so we can get in free.

教会の敷地から外に出ることが出来ることがわかったので、今日、初めて出てみました。しばらく壁の外を歩きましたが、他には本来の出入り口の他に外と繋がっているところは見つからなかったので、教会に戻って中に戻りました。この時期はいろいろなお花がたくさん咲いているので、歩いていても楽しいです。

We found out that you can get out of the West Dean Gardens through the church grounds so we went out for the first time and walked in the village.  We wondered if there would be another gate we can go back through but we didn’t see any after walking for 10 minutes or so so we turned around and walked back to the gate to the church and went back in.  This time of year there are so many different kinds of flowers out so it makes it more fun to walk there.
