今日は、ペットワースのヘアーサロンでお昼前にカットをしていただいて、帰りの途中で Cowdray Cafe に寄ってランチをし、ファームショップで少しお買い物をして来ました。良いお天気でしたし、土曜日なので並ぶかなと思っていたのですが、案外空いていました。１２時ごろで早めだったからか、お天気が良くハーフタームなので外出している人が多かもしれません。ランチは変わり映えなく、わたしはBLT。夫はカプレーゼ・サンドをオーダーして、とても美味しかったようでした。

I had my hair cut at my hair salon in Petworth a little before lunch time today, so we stopped at Cowdray Cafe for lunch and did a little shopping at their Farm Shop.  As it was nice weather and also a Saturday we thought there will be a long queue but it was quiet.  Maybe because we were early (just around 12:00) or maybe because it’s a half term and many people might be away or having a day out.  As for lunch, mine was boring old BLT but my husband had Caprese sandwich, which he enjoyed very much.

家に戻って来てから、今日もガーデニングをしました。薔薇の花殻積みや背が高くなっている植物のサポートをつけたり。お天気が良すぎて、気温は２２度くらいでしたが背中に当たる太陽が熱くて、長くは続かず、３０分くらいでギブアップ。

After coming home, I did some gardening again.  I needed to deadhead the roses and give some supports to several tall plants.  It was so sunny that I got so hot getting the strong sun on my back, I couldn’t do it for long, I gave up after about 30 minutes.  The temperature was only about 22C but it felt very hot in the sun.
