アランデルの街をぶらぶらとした後、アランデル城にも行きました。お友達が去年の１０月にいらした時はお城には入らなかったので（写真を見るとクローズしていたようです）、お友達は今回初めて。結構広いグラウンドですし、お城の中にも入ったので２時間くらいいたのではないでしょうか。お友達はとても感動されて気に入ってくださったようだったので、入って良かったです。今の時期はお花もたくさん咲いているので、見応えがあります。

After strolling in Arundel with my friend and our lunch, we went to see Arundel Castle.  When my friend stayed with us last October we did visit Arundel but didn’t go to the Castle (I don’t remember why but I think it was closed looking at one of the photos) so this was the first time for her to visit it.  The grounds are quite large and we went into the Castle itself as well, so it took us quite a lot of time, I guess maybe 2 hours.  The gardens are full of flowers so it is a nice time to visit.  My friend was very impressed and loved the place.

 

昨日、今日と中世のお祭りがあったので、そのセットアップをしていました。

There was the Arundel Castle Medieval Festival this weekend, so they were setting up when we were there on Friday.
