今日はお昼過ぎまではとても晴れていてどこか行きたくなるお天気でしたが、風が強かったので出かけませんでした。嵐が来ているそうです。

It was very sunny until a little after lunch time and it made me feel like going out but it was very windy so we stayed at home.  Apparently, a storm is here.

そして、我が家のお庭はすっかり落ち葉で覆われてしまいました。７月中旬まで2ヶ月ほど来てくださっていたガーデナーさんを秋のあれこれの作業に当てにしていたのですが、やはり戻って来られず。お知り合いのお知り合いにお聞きしてみたところ、やはり体調が悪くてガーデニングのお仕事は畳まれたそうです。だったら、せめてテキストメッセージで教えてくれても良さそうなものだと思うのですが。ということで、冬前にマルチングもしたいのですが、どうなることやら。

Our garden is now covered with yellow leaves.  I was really counting on the gardener we had for a couple of months until the middle of July to do all the things you need to do in autumn including collecting the leaves, mulching the flower beds, pruning etc but he stopped coming in the middle of July and never came back.  We asked around and found someone who knew him who said that he hasn’t been very well and he had closed his business.  I wish he’d just told his clients so..  Anyway, I guess it means I’ll have to do the mulching…

今日は土曜日、ということで、夫がディナーを作ってくれました。わたしのリクエストで、ラザニア！今日は、少しでもヘルシーにとスペルト粉で作ったラザニアシートを使ってみました。カリカリのところは普通に美味しかったのですが、他（つまり、ほとんど）は「う〜ん、食感がいまいちだね〜。」ということに。もってりして重たい感じで、やっぱり普通のラザニアが良いという結論になりましたが、それ以外はとっても美味しかったです！食後に、チーズも少しいただきました。

It’s a Saturday today, so my husband cooked the dinner.  I requested him to make Lasagne.  I know it’s a lot of work but he used to make Pancake Cannelloni, and Lasagne is less work so he didn’t mind.  We tried “Spelt Lasagne” today trying to be healthy and we first thought it was quite good when we had the crispy edge bit but we found the rest (which is most of it) wasn’t as great, the lasagne sheets seemed heavier and quite doughy compared to the regular type.  Still, apart from the texture of the lasagne sheets the whole thing was delicious!  We also had some cheese afterwards.

少し量が多すぎたので、３分の１ずつくらい残しました。

It was a little too much so we left about 1/3 each.
