今日は、近所のカフェでランチをしました。茄子とモッツァレラのサンドイッチとソーセージとブロッコリーのピアディーナ（フラットブレッド）のサンドイッチ。どちらも、まぁまぁでしたが、お店の方がとても感じが良かったです。
わたしたちがアメリカやヨーロッパを旅行し始めた４０年近く前のことを考えるとどこの国でも英語を上手に話される方が増えて、旅行者としてはとても助かります。
We went to a cafe near where we are staying for lunch today. We shared 2 sandwiches, one was aubergine and mozzarella in ciabatta and the other was sausage and broccoli in Piadina.l (flatbread). They were both ‘OK’ but the staff of the cafe was very nice.
These days, unlike when we started travelling in the US and Europe nearly 40 years ago, many people in many countries including Italy speak very good English, which is a great help to us.
