いよいよ、明日から旅行に出かけます。日本へのフライトは明後日なのですが、朝早いフライトなので明日はガトウィック空港に宿泊します。日本はまだ比較的暖かいと思いますが、1ヶ月滞在するので後半は寒くなると思うので洋服選びが難しい。どうしても大荷物になってしまいます。日本なら大抵のものは買えるので、パスポート、携帯電話、お薬さえ忘れなければ大ごとにはならないとわかっていても、旅行前はドキドキします。そして、数日前から少し心配な件があったのでそれもあってこの数日はなおさら落ち着かない気分でしたが、今日、良い知らせが届いたのでほっとして、これで旅行を楽しめます。とは言え、長時間のフライトは苦痛なのですが。

We are leaving for a holiday tomorrow!  Our flight to Japan leaves on the day after tomorrow but it’ll be early in the morning so we are staying overnight at a hotel in Gatwick.  It’s still warm enough in Japan but we are there for a month so I expect it’ll get quite cold later in November so it was very hard to decide what clothes to take.  I’m sure we can find almost anything in Japan if we need. As long as we don’t forget to take our passports, mobile phones and medications we will be fine. I’ve kept telling myself that but I still couldn’t help feeling nervous.  Besides packing, I had something troubling me for the last few days so I had been feeling very unsettled and nervous but I had the good news that I was waiting for this afternoon so I’m feeling ready to enjoy the holiday – although I do hate long flights so I’m not looking forward to that part of it.

さて、今日は冷蔵庫の中を整理してしまいまた中途半端に残り物を作りたくなかったので、夕食はマークス＆スペンサーのミールディールを買って来ました。１５ポンド（３１６０円）で２人分の前菜、メイン、付け合わせ、またはメイン、付け合わせ、デザートを組み合わせるというもので、とってもお買い得だと思います。メインは、しばらく前に買ってとても美味しかったチキン・キーウ、付け合わせはグリーンピース、ケール、テンダーステムブロッコリー、デザートは、フォンダンショコラ（写真を撮り忘れましたが、１つをシェアーしました）。チキン・キーウは衣がカリカリになってチキンも柔らかくとても美味しいです。

For dinner we bought a M&S Meal Deal as we didn’t want to make more left-overs after having gone through the fridge and thrown lots of things out as a preparation to the holiday. Also we were quite busy all day.  It’s a great deal, as you get a starter, a main & a side, or a main, a side & a dessert, all for 2, for only £15.  We chose Chicken Kyiv for the main, peas, kale & tender stem for the side, and Fondant Chocolat for the dessert (I forgot to take a photo but we shared one and froze the other).  The coating of the Chicken Kyiv is so nice and crispy and the chicken is lovely and tender, it was very nice.
