昨日観に行った映画というのは、日本の映画「レンタルファミリー」でした。ガーディアンではかなり酷評されていますが（「日本的」で外国の人にはわかりにくいんでしょうかね、とはいえ、レンタルファミリーという仕事は日本人であるわたしにも異様ですし、多分、決して一般的に受け入れられているわけではないのではと思いますが、それでも面白く観れました）、わたしたちはそれなりに面白く観ました。そして、ありがちなのですが、わたしと夫が笑っているところで他の誰も笑わず（笑）。とはいえ、観客はすごく少なくてわたしたちを入れて１０人くらいだったのですが。というか、他の人たちが観に来てたこと自体、ちょっと不思議ではありました、日本に縁のある方達なのかな？

The Film we went to watch was a Japanese film, “Rental Family”.  The review in  the Guardian is pretty bad, but my husband and I enjoyed it enough.  I suppose it is very “Japanese” film and very weird to other neationalities – but the concept of ‘rental family’ is weird to me, too, and I expect to most Japanese as well but that didn’t stop me enjoying it.  The funny things is that nobody else was laughing when my husband and I were in the cinema – not that there were many people there, only about 10 or so including us.  I did wonder why the others were there, I wonder if they had something to do with Japan – because why else they were interested in this film…?
