今日の夕食は、Hello Fresh の「Quick Pork and Peanut West African Style Stew with Bell Pepper, Spinach and Peanuts」（ポークと赤パプリカ、ほうれん草、ピーナッツの西アフリカ風シチュー）でした。お野菜が足りない感じだったので、前菜に簡単なサラダも作りました。昨日のロメスコソースが結構残っていたので、ドレッシング代わりに使いましたが美味しくいただけました。ちなみに、昨日の夕食の残りは、今日のランチにピタパンに挟んでいただきましたが、おいしかったです。

Today’s dinner was “Quick Pork and Peanut West African Style Stew with Bell Pepper, Spinach and Peanuts” from Hello Fresh.  We thought there wasn’t much vegetables so we also made a simple salad and used the left-over Romesco sauce from last night, it was good.  Incidentally, we put the left-over salad from last night in pita bread and had it for lunch and it was very nice, too.

シチューの中身は豚ミンチ、赤パプリカ、トマト・パッサータ、西アフリカ風ペースト、チキンストックペースト、ベビーほうれん草、最後にピーナッツ。西アフリカ料理に着いては何も知らないのですが、この西アフリカ風ペーストを入れた途端になんだか苦手な匂いがしました。仁丹みたいな、漢方薬みたいな、亀ゼリーみたいな。。。ペーストの材料を見てみましたが特にこれと思えるものは入っていなくて。夫に言うと「そういえば、香港の漢方薬のお店みたいな匂いがするね。」とは言っていましたが、食べ始めると結構美味しいと食べていました。わたしは食べられないほどではないものの、やはり苦手な匂いが気になって。。。又のオーダーはないです。

The main is made with minced pork, red pepper, tomato passata, West African Style paste, Chicken stock paste, baby spinach, then some sprinkles of peanuts on top.  I don’t know anything about West African food but as soon as I added this West African Paste to the stew it started smelling strange, with a smell like Chinese Medicine.  I checked the ingredients of the paste but I couldn’t see anything that would smell like the smell I was getting.  My husband agreed with me that it did smell like Chinese Medicine shops we used to walk in front of in Hong Kong, but once he started eating it he said he really enjoyed the stew.  Although I was able to eat it as it tasted fine, I really didn’t like the smell, so I will not order this one again.
