Yesterday after lunch we walked in Florence again. The hotel staff told us that you.can see the Doumo close up from the cafe in a library nearby so we had tea/coffee there for a rest.
While we were mooching in Florence we found an exhibition of Mark Rothko’s paintings, which my husband loves, so we went in.
Continuing our walk in Florence on our 2nd day – after the library we walked to two Gardens’ on a hill, where you have great views. We were told that the wisterias are looking beautiful this time of year (and I was quite surprised as it was still very cold) in the 2nd Gardens but they weren’t really out yet. A small area, where the sun hits the most, had just started to bloom but they were mostly still tiny buds.
