今日はバスに乗って、ユダヤ地区に行って来ました、とっても良いお天気でした。
We took a bus to the Rome Jewish Ghetto today, it was very sunny and warm.
3年前にローマでプライベートのフードツアーで連れて行っていただいた時に美味しいと教えていただいたユダヤ地区のレストランでランチ。ユダヤ風のアーティチョーク(揚げてある)とスップリ(アランチーノ、本来もっと大きいが、前菜用に小さく作られていました)をシェアし、メインは夫はカネロニ わたしはブカティーニ・アマトリチャーナ。
About 3 years ago we took a private food tour in Rome and were taken to the Jewish Ghetto area and the guide pointed out a couple of restaurants he recommended so we went to one of them for lunch. We shared Jewish Artichoke (deep-fried) and Suppli (like arancini, which is usually very large in Italy but here it was very small I guess because it was served as a starter). Then for the main my husband had cannelloni and I had bucatini Amatriciana.
デザートは欲しいものがなかったので、やはりフードツアーで連れて行っていただいた近くのジェラートや甘いもののカフェでジェラートを食べました。
We didn’t see anything we wanted for the dessert so we went to a nearby gelato and patisserie cafe, where we’d had gelato on the food tour, to have gelato.
そして、やはりフードツアーで教えて頂いた時に買って美味しかった有名なお店のクロスターター(リコッタとジャム)を買いました。
Then we bought a whole Crostata from a very famous shop in the Ghetto, where we had also been taken to by the tour guide. We bought one on that trip and had loved it.
ランチの後は、ブラブラ歩いてカンポ・ディ・フィオーリ市場へ行き、ぶらっと見てからバーの外席で冷たいものを飲んでから、またバスに乗ってアパートメントまで戻りました。
アパートメントのすぐ側のバス停から乗れて便利ですし、バスは景色も楽しめて良いです。ただ、帰りのバスはいつも相当混むのが難点、今日は途中から座れました。
After lunch we walked to the Caampi de Fiore Market, looked at the shops, then sat at one of the bars and had a cold drink before heading back to the apartment. We can take a bus to the centre of Rome from a bus stop very close to the apartment so it’s very convenient, and being on a bus can be fun as you get the view but the bus coming back is always very full. We were able to get seats after 10 minutes or so on the way back today.
今日はお昼過ぎから夕方にかけて雷雨になる予報で、バス停に向かっている時にぱらっと来ましたが、幸い、降ったのは夕方で家で寛いでいる時でしたが、かなりな雨でした。昨日は午後3時半ごろからしばらく凄い雹が降りましたし、そういう時期なのでしょうか。
The weather forecast said we would have thunderstorms from around 3:00pm today and I felt a few sprinkles of rain when we were walking to the bus stop but fortunately it didn’t rain until evening, when we were relaxing at home. It was very heavy rain. We also had very heavy hails yesterday afternoon around 3:30, so maybe it is that sort of season here.
