今日も昨日と同じようなお天気、気温でした、明日も同じようです。湿度が低いので風があれば日陰に座る分には心地よいです。

Same sort of weather and same sort of temperature as yesterday, it’ll be similar tomorrow.  The humidity is very low so it’s actually quite comfortable if you are in the shade and there is some breeze.

今日の夕食は、お家ピクニック風。毎年夏にはあることですが、特に今年はスーパーが「ちょこちょことつまむ食事（ピッキー・ビッツ）」を推しているようでよく広告を見かけます。暑くて出来れば火をつかいたくないということで、セインズベリーで色々買ってきて並べてみました。普段マークス＆スペンサーで買うことが多いのですが、今回はセインズベリーだったこともあってこれまで買っていなかったものを色々買ってみました。美味しくいただきました。

Today’s dinner was what we would call “picnic at home”.  I guess you see a lot of references to ‘picky bits’ in supermarkets every summer but maybe because it’s very hot this year we see supermarkets have been strongly promoting ‘picky bits’.   You don’t feel like cooking when it’s so warm so we thought we’d get them from Sainsbury’s and have them for dinner.  We tend to buy things like this from Marks & Spencer’s so this time we bought things that we haven’t tried before so it was fun and we enjoyed it.
