昨日はお昼前にチチェスターの美容院に行ったので、終わってから軽くランチをしました。気になっていた AKOKA というインドのストリートフードのお店に行ってみました。テイクアウトが主という印象でしたが、思っていたよりはカフェっぽい雰囲気でした。テーブルが４つか５つとカウンター席が３つ、外にもテープルがいくつか。メニューは、多くありません。

Yesterday, I had an appointment at a hair salon in Chichester, which finished around lunch time so we tried “AKOKA”, which is Indian Street Food place as I’d been wanting to try.  I thought it was mainly for take out but there were more tables than I expected, 4 or 5 tables for 2 as well as 3 counter chairs and 2 or 3 tables outside.  The menu wasn’t large, though.

オーダーが届くまで少し時間がかかったお詫びにと、モモを１つずつサービスしてくださいました。写真では大きさがわかりにくいですが、小さくて、直径４センチくらいだったでしょうか。蒸し焼きにしてからソース漬けたのかな？美味しかったです。

As an apologies for a little slow service they gave us one Momo (dumpling)  each.  It’s hard to know the size from a photo but they were quite small, maybe about 4 cm diameter?  I guess they were steamed, then fried to make the bottom crispy then dipped in sauce.  It was very nice.

バター・チキン・ティッカのラップ（ソフトドリンクとチップスとソース付き）を１つと、サモサ・チャート（ソフトドリンクとソース付き）をオーダーしてシェアーしました。どちらも美味しかったです。ただ、量は少なめかな、と思います、特にラップは他のお店に比べると小さめ。

We ordered one Butter Chicken Tikka Wrap (it comes with chips with a sauce and soft drink) and Samosa Chart (it comes with a sauce an soft drink) and shared.  Both very enjoyable.  The portions were on a small side, I think, specially the wrap comparing to what you see in other places.

今度はカレーを食べてみたいと思います。

I’d like to try their curry next time.
