ロンドン最終日は、コベントガーデンの鼎泰豊でランチをしました。ロンドンに行くと必ず行くレストラン。いつも高くてびっくりしますが、住んでいるところには美味しい中華がないので必ず行きます。
On our last day in London we had lunch at Din Tan Fung in Covent Garden, it’s one of two restaurants we almost always go to in London. It always surprises me how expensive it is but we don’t have good Chinese restaurants around here so we take the opportunity to go there when we’re in London.
大好きな前菜、オリエンタル・ベジタブル・サラダ。これは２つオーダーして、１つずついただきました。美味しかった！
I love this – Oriental Vegetable Salad. We ordered one each! So good!
四季豆のガーリック炒め、もう少しお塩がほしいところですがシャキシャキした食感がとても良いです。
Stir fried green beans with garlic. I would have liked it to have a little more salt but I love the texture, just the right amount of crunchiness.
もちろん、小籠包も！
Of course Xiao Long Bao, too!
そして、大、大、大好きなスパイシー・ヌードル。
And, my very favourite – Noodles with spicy sauce. Yummy!
もう１品、ビーフの焼き餃子もオーダーしたのですが、写真を撮り忘れていました。
We also had Beef Dumplings (Gyoza) but I forgot to take a photo.
ここは、お茶は普通のものがなくてお安いものでも７ポンド（１５００円）くらいします。わたしたちは大抵鉄観音をオーダーします。ポットで来なくてマグで来るので１人１つオーダー。お会計は７８ポンド（１６４００円）でした。
As for tea, they only have speciality tea so the less expensive ones still cost $7 per mug cup (no pot service) so you need to order one per person. The bill was £78.
この後、マリアージュ・フレールでお茶を買ってからホテルに戻り、荷物をピックアップして家まで車で戻りました。
After this lunch, we bought some loose tea at Marriage Frere, went back to the hotel, picked up the luggage and drove back home.
ロンドンでの１番の楽しみは美味しい食事なのですが、１日に食べられる量は限りがありますし、毎回行きたいレストランもあってなかなか新規開拓が出来ませんし、お買い物もほとんど見るだけで終わってしまいました（夫は結構収穫がありました）、もっと色々行きたかったなと思いますが、お友達や家族に会えて、この辺りにないお店も見ることが出来て楽しい数日でした。
The main thing that we look forward to in London is to have good meals but we can eat only have 2 meals a day and we have a couple of restaurants we want to go to each time so we don’t have a lot of chances to try new places. As for shopping I didn’t buy much although we did walk around a lot (my husband bought a few things) so I would have loved to go to more places but we did have fun having a few good meals and looking in the sort of shops that we don’t have around here.
