Meatball Sandwich

昨日の夕食のミートボールが余っていたので、今日のランチに使ってみました。ターキッシュブレッドに Providore で購入したチリソース、コスレタス、シャンツァイ、ミートボールを挟んだミートボールサンド。シャキシャキ系のお野菜を挟むともっと美味しかったかなと思いますが、これでも十分美味しかったです。夫もわたしも同じものを続けて食べるのは余り好きではない方ですが(ものによりますが)、こうして残り物を全く違う形で美味しく食べられると嬉しいものですよね。冷凍すると忘れてしまうことも多いので、すぐに食べてしまう方が無駄がない。

There were some meatballs left last night, so we used them for lunch today.  We put the meat balls, cos lettuce, coriander leaves, a little chilli sauce (bought at Providore in a jar) into pockets of Turkish bread.  Some crunchy vegetables probably would have made it even better (maybe some picked vegetables?) but it was very good just as it is.  In general we don’t like eating left-overs next day but it’s satisfying to be able to do so by using it for something completely different and enjoy it.  I sometimes freeze them thinking I’ll have it for lunch but often forget about it until too late, so it’s better to finish it straight away.
