昨夜はやっと夜眠れました（笑）。１０時頃に寝てしまい、朝４時過ぎまで（時々目は覚めましたが）眠れましたのでまずまずです。もう少し寝たかったのですが目が覚めてしまい、なんか暑いなと思ったらクーラーの故障でした。今はシンガポールは一番暑い時期なので、クーラーの故障は困ります（涙）。暑いな〜と思った時点で２５度。寝室のクーラーは普段から効きが悪く、最強にしていても２３、４度なのでそのときは気のせいかなとも思いましたが、どんどん上がって今は２８度です。やれ、やれ。我が家だけではなくここのコンド全体のことのよう。早く直してくれると良いのですが。（１１時頃に直りました。）
I was finally able to sleep at night last night! I went to bed around 10.00pm and slept until 4.30am (although I woke up a few time in between), which isn’t bad at all. I would have liked to sleep longer but I couldn’t. I also noticed that the bedroom was getting warmer – the aircon wasn’t working. It’s the hottest time of year here so aircon is very necessary! When I thought it was getting a bit warm, it was about 25C, which is only 1C higher than usual (the aircon here in the bedroom doesn’t work very well) but it’s now getting close to 29C! Hope they can fix it quickly or we’ll be in a big trouble.
パレルモのウォーキングツアーの続きです。
So, the walking tour we took in Palermo started from Theatro Massimo – it’s well known as one of the places they filmed “God Father”. We would have liked to see an opera here but it wasn’t an opera season any more.
マーケットを歩いてあれこれ試食した後は、パレルモの歴史のことなど聞きながら数カ所の建物に連れて行っていただきましたが思っていたほど写真を撮っていませんでした。
最初は前の記事にもアップしましたが、マッシモ劇場。映画「ゴットファーザー」の有名なシーンの撮影地で有名な劇場。オペラ発祥のイタリアの有名な劇場でオペラ鑑賞が出来れば嬉しかったのですが、オペラの時期ではなかったのが残念。
次は、カテドラーレ。各時代の建築様式が混ざり、エキゾチックな建物で外側は豪華ですが中はシンプルとのことで中には入りませんでした。

プレトーリア広場。１8・19 世紀の頃は、スペイン王国支配下で腐敗するパレルモ市議会を揶揄し、また裸体の彫像が並んでいることから「Piazza della Vergogna 恥の広場」と呼ばれていたそうです。

クアットロカンティと呼ばれる十字路で、４つの角全てに彫刻が施された噴水があります。
