Braised Vegetables with Bacon

今日の夕食は、野菜が足りないかなと思う時に良く食べる1品で、野菜と豆とベーコンの蒸し煮。玉ねぎを数分炒めてからベーコンの角切りを少量加えてさらに数分、人参、じゃがいも、バタービーンズ、インゲン、グリーンピースを加えてさらに15分ゆっくり炒めてから、ドライハーブとバターとごくごく少量の水を加えて蓋をして30−45分蒸し煮にするだけ。野菜の甘みがたっぷり出ます。カリカリのフランスパンと。

Today’s dinner was Braised Vegetables, Beans & Bacon, something we have when I feel we haven’t had enough vegetables.  All you do is sauteeing onion for a few minutes, add onion and keep sauteeing for further few minutes.  Then add carrots, potato, butter beans, green beans, green peas  and sautee it for 15 minutes or so.  Then add dried herb, butter, small amount of water.  Cover and let it cook for 30-45 minutes until everything is soft.  It’s very sweet from the slowly cooked vegetables.
