Tonight’s dinner was Gyoza – some from a batch that I made sometime ago and put in the freezer.  They freeze well and cook well from frozen.  I added just a couple of small dishes – one is fried tofu with Yuzu dressing and the other is tofu, tomato & avocado salad.  I don’t have a lot of Japanese dishes so whenever I cook Japanese I use the same dishes.  I often wish I’d bought more Japanese dishes when we lived in Japan.  Although you can buy some Japanese dishes in Hong Kong and Singapore, I haven’t really seen any that attracted me.  They are heavy and fragile so not easy to bring back from Japan when I visit.

The bouquet of flowers was from a friend, who came to deliver it herself the other day.  So sweet of her and it’s a beautiful bouquet.
