金曜日は、久しぶりに Nicholas で食事をして来ました。２度ほど予約を入れようとしたことはあったのですが、満席だったのです。２人共、S$98(++)のコース。
On Friday, we had dinner at Nicholas. It’s been quite a while since we were there last. We did try to book a couple of times before but it was fully booked. We both had their S$98(++) courses.
アミューズはエビとタルタルソースのようなもの（わたしの分は夫が）とトマトとリコッタチーズをのせたフォカッチャっぽいもの。
The amuse was some prawn with tartar sauce and tomato & ricotta on focaccia.
１品目、ゆるゆるの卵にイベリコハム。赤ワインのソースのようなものもかかっていました。美味しかったです。
The first dish was egg with Iberico ham (with, I think, some red wine sauce). Very good.
２品目、夫はエビの何か。美味しいと言っていましたが、エビの味が濃厚だと言っていました。
2nd dish. My husband’s was some prawn dish. He liked it but he said it tasted very strongly of prawns.
わたしは、お野菜とベーコンのパスタでした。
Mine was pasta with some vegetables and bacon.
３品目。イベリコ豚のラビオロ、だったと。。。パプリカが入ったソースで。。。美味しかったのは覚えているのですが（笑）。
3rd dish was, I think, Iberico pork raviolo. I remember I liked it very much but cannot remember exactly what it was.
４品目は、鳩でした。鳩がいただけないことをお伝えしていなかったので、夫に食べてもらいました。写真も撮り忘れてしまいました。
The 4th dish was some pigeon. I forgot to tell them I cannot eat pigeon so I asked my husband to help me. I totally forgot to take a photo.
メインは、夫はラム。ボケボケですみません。
For the main, my husband chose lamb. Sorry it’s so out of focus….
わたしはメインにビーフを選びました。和牛の熟成ビーフだったのですが、わたしには少し臭みが気になりましたが、なんとか食べられる範囲。夫に１切れ手伝ってもらい、１切れは残しましたが。
I chose beef – it was Wagyu Hanger beef. For me it was a little gamy but was able to eat a couple of pieces. My husband ate one piece for me and I left one.
デザートは、チョコレートムースとチョコレートケーキ（？）とストロベリーアイス。
The dessert was chocolate mousse, chocolate cake and strawberry ice cream.
プティフール。
Petite four.
ワインを入れて３８０ドルほどでした。
It was about S$380 including a bottle of water, a bottle of red wine and a coffee.
金曜日の夜なのにお客さんはわたしたちを入れて３組だけで少し寂しい感じでした。学校がお休み中のようなのでご旅行中の方が多いのでしょうか？少し心配になりました。
There were only 3 tables occupied including ours, which seemed too quiet for a Friday night. I think lots of schools are on holiday so maybe lots of people are outside Singapore? It was a little worrying that it was so quiet……
