Nanjya Monjya

My husband is back from Shanghai so we went out for dinner to “Nanjya Monjya”.  We’ve been there once with our nephew from England and his partner about a year and a half ago, so this is our 2nd time.

We had Yakisoba, Yaki-gyoza, Okonomi-yaki (buta tama), deep-fried gyoza (the photo was too out-of-focus) and also Ice cream with Azuki beans, kinako (soy bean powder) dark syrup and some shiratama (similar to mochi).

Yakisoba.

Okonomi-yaki (buta tama).  It’s the type that doesn’t have a lot of batter so nice and light.  I like it but my husband kept saying he preferred my Okonomi-yaki and misses mine.

The combination of azuki beans, kinako and dark syrup is so delicious.

We had a large jug of draft beer to share and the total bill was S$135 – seems very good.
