A Tray I Bought In India

I thought I would be buying lots of inexpensive things in India but I didn’t see many that I liked – partly because I didn’t have much time to really take time and look, but also because I think their taste is different from what I am attracted to.

I thought there were similarities to Morocco in terms of things being colourful and intricate, but I tend to be attracted to Moroccan style more.  When we were in Marrakesh we bought a tea pot and glass cups for mint tea, but they’ve been sitting in the cupboard since we came back and we haven’t used them.  I’ve been looking for a tray I can put them on so I can keep them outside, that way maybe we’ll use them or even if we don’t they are nice as decorations.  I found this tray in Good Earth in Delhi.  It was quite expensive for India, I cannot remember exactly how much but I think it was something around US$60.  I would have preferred a more flat tray but I thought this probably works.  I wanted to have something to keep India in our memory so we bought it.

Good Earth

There were quite a few lovely things in Good Earth but their prices seemed very high for India.
