お好み焼きを堪能した後は、同じサンテックの中にある「ぐでたまかふぇ」に移動して、お茶をしました。わたしは全然興味ありませんが（笑）、ご一緒したお友達のうちお２人が特に「かわいい〜〜〜！」と興奮されていて微笑ましかったです。確かに色々工夫がされていて、なかなか面白いところでした。わたしがいて良いのかしら、という気はしましたが（笑）。

After enjoying our lunch, we moved to “Gudetama Cafe”, which is also in Suntec City, for tea.  To be honest, I have no interest in Gudetama (a Japanese cartoon character), but 2 of the friends I was with were very excited and happy to be there, it was fun to watch them getting all excited.  I must say it was quite a fun place as a lot of effort has been put into the furniture, menu etc.

We sat in one of the booths.  In line with the character of Gudetama everything is to do with eggs.

ピーチのお茶をオーダーしましたが、緑茶の香りが強くてピーチが負けてました。添えてあるのは、ショートブレッド。これも、ぐでたま。

I had peach flavoured green tea.  The aroma of green tea was so strong, there was only a little aroma of peach.  It came with a cute little shortbread, of course in the shape of Gudetama.

面白そうだったので、チーズケーキをシェアーしました。ま、あまりおいしいものではなかったですが、話題性はありますね。ポンポン菓子のようなのがくっつけてあるのですが、これが湿気てたのが残念。

We shared one portion of cheese cake as it looked interesting.  I cannot say it was delicious but it was certainly interesting.  The rice puffs were not crispy, which was a shame.

食べ物も色々あってメニューを見るのが面白かったですが、美味しいかどうかは謎。お店の方は日本が大好きという方で、とてもフレンドリーでした。

It was fun to look at the menu because it was very different, but I don’t know how good they are.  One of the staff (I guess the manager but don’t know for sure) loves Japan and was very friendly.

それにしても、今現在、世界に３店しかないというぐでたまかふぇ、なぜシンガポールにあるのか不思議な気もします。日本好きな方が多いというのは知っていますが、ぐでたまはそれほどに知名度が高いのでしょうか？

There are only 3 outlets of this cafe in the world, I wonder why in Singapore.  I know many Singaporeans love Japan but is this character known enough here?
